The promise

In two and a half days you will ship one AI workflow live in your business, prototype a second, pressure-test both with a team of fellow founders, and leave with a 90-day plan you actually believe in.

One AI workflow live on your real business data by end of Day 1

A second workflow prototyped with clear finish-by-Friday next steps

A personal AI safety playbook — drafted in a hackathon, not lectured at

An Opportunity Audit of your business with outside input from two peers

A 90-day implementation plan, peer-reviewed and facilitator-signed

A cohort of founders you just spent the workshop building alongside

Why this exists

Most founders know AI matters. Few know where to start.

A 2025 INSEAD study of 515 startups found that businesses given structured guidance on where to deploy AI discovered significantly more use cases and saw measurable gains in revenue, customer acquisition, and task completion — compared to firms left to figure it out on their own. That finding shaped how we designed AI Upgrade: the workshop maps AI into your specific workflows, not just the obvious ones.

Five parts of your business where AI pulls its weight

The workshop covers all five. The sprint lets you start with one.

Content and marketing

Writing, campaigns, social media, SEO, and brand voice. We use Claude for writing and Gemini for image generation.

Sales and client management

Proposals, outreach sequences, follow-ups, qualification criteria, and CRM workflows.

Operations and systems

SOPs, process documentation, team coordination workflows, and system design.

Strategy and research

Market research, competitive analysis, decision frameworks, and business planning.

Finance and admin

Reporting, forecasting, invoicing support, bookkeeping workflows, and compliance documents.

Every cohort receives a pre-workshop survey so we can calibrate sessions to your priorities.

Seven workflows you can build at the workshop

Each participant picks one on Day 1 and builds it on their own business data. Every workflow has a fallback path — no one leaves empty-handed.

01Inbox triage and reply drafting
02Proposal and quote drafting
03Follow-up and nurture sequences
04Meeting-to-actions pipeline
05SOP drafting and maintenance

Luigi La Tona

Started by a founder who needed this himself

AI Upgrade exists because the right programme did not

Luigi La Tona runs ThunderWear Asia, a consumer brand he built and scaled across Southeast Asia. When AI started changing how businesses operate, he looked for a programme that matched how founders actually learn: intensive, applied, and focused on real workflows.

He could not find it. So he started AI Upgrade — a workshop built around the same problem every founder he spoke to was facing: knowing AI matters but not knowing where to start.

“I kept thinking: I cannot be the only founder who knows AI matters but still cannot find a way to actually use it across the business.”

— Luigi La Tona, Founder

1
Day 1

Your first AI win

Safe-use briefing before any tool gets connected. Pick one workflow from a menu of seven common small-business jobs. Build it on your own data in a two-hour hackathon. Your team of three stress-tests it in the afternoon. You leave Day 1 with something working.

2
Day 2

Go deeper

Build a second workflow. Chain it to your first if you are ready. See a live demo of Cowork Mode on a realistic multi-step task. Then the signature session: your teammates audit your business as outside consultants — where does your time actually go, what is repetitive, what is stuck. You leave Day 2 with a ranked list of what to build next.

3
Day 3 · Half day

Plan and commit

Expanded governance session for your specific business. Final hackathon: ship one integrated system from everything you have built. Lock down your implementation plan. Present it. Alumni network begins.

Frequently asked questions

We focus on Claude because it excels at the work founders do every day: writing, analysis, strategy, and building workflows. It handles long documents, reasons through complex problems, and produces business-quality output consistently. But we also cover other tools where they are stronger — Gemini for image generation, for example — so you learn to use the right tool for each task.

No. AI Upgrade is designed for founders and small-team leaders, not developers. We focus on using AI for real business tasks. Day 2 includes an optional Claude Code introduction for founders who want to build custom tools, but it is not required.

We designed the workshop around structured deployment guidance, informed by recent experimental research on high-growth startups. The workshop maps AI into your real workflows, builds working systems on your data, and sends you home with a plan grounded in what you actually built.
