About AI Upgrade

Built by a founder who needed this himself

AI Upgrade was founded by Luigi La Tona, a Singapore-based entrepreneur who went looking for a way to use Claude across his business and could not find the right programme. So he built it.

Why AI Upgrade was created

Luigi La Tona is the CEO of ThunderWear Asia, a consumer brand he founded and scaled across Southeast Asia. He holds an Executive MBA from NUS Business School and has spent more than two decades building and running businesses across Hong Kong and Singapore.

In 2025, like many SME founders he knew, Luigi was trying to work out how AI fit into his operations: marketing, supply chain, customer experience, and decision-making. He tried multiple platforms before discovering that Claude was the most capable for the work he actually did. But the ad hoc approach was not working.

He went looking for training. What he found fell into three categories: overly academic programmes built for technical audiences, shallow two-hour webinars, or multi-week courses priced for large enterprises.

He could not find a programme designed for people like him: founders running real businesses who needed to learn Claude properly and apply it across their entire operation, taught in a format that respected their time and how they actually learn.

“I kept thinking: I can't be the only business owner who knows AI is important but still can't find a practical way to learn it. Every founder I spoke to had the same frustration, so I decided to build the kind of programme we needed.”

— Luigi La Tona, Founder & CEO

Why the workshop format works

The workshop format is intentional. Two and a half days of focused immersion can produce better results than months of fragmented online learning. The small cohort size means every participant gets direct guidance on their own business challenges. The Singapore venue helps create the focus that is hard to achieve in a normal working week, while remaining convenient to reach.

Why the curriculum is structured this way

The programme is structured around how business leaders actually learn: by doing. Every session combines focused instruction with hands-on workshops where you apply AI tools to real business problems. You do not just discuss AI strategy; you build one. You do not just hear about AI tools; you use them in a practical context.

By the end of the workshop, every participant has a documented 90-day implementation roadmap, a set of working AI workflows, and the confidence to continue building from there.

Specialist facilitators

Chosen for depth, not profile

Each workshop is delivered by facilitators chosen for applied AI expertise and business operations experience, not generic keynote speakers or career trainers.

Start with one area. The workshop covers all five.

The sprint is free: set up Claude for one area in five minutes. The workshop is where you build Claude systems across your whole business.
