After they went back to work
If I can do this, what else can I do?
Joyce C., founder of Guilt Free Food, after the August cohort. Derrick L., Wayne C., Harry S., and Zhan Kun F. wrote the others.
“I am 50, completely non-technical, permanently short of time, and trying to scale Guilt Free Food without throwing money at every problem. So you can imagine my reaction when I built my first AI agent from scratch and it actually worked.
I have always thought that scaling means I need to teach more people what I know. Now I am starting to think about how we can make that knowledge available to the business whenever it needs it. I came in knowing almost nothing about building agents. Now I have one working at GFF every day.”
“The workshop never became technology for technology's sake. The demos and hands-on exercises remained grounded in practical business applications — especially how SMEs can use AI agents to automate repeatable workflows while keeping humans in control of important decisions. Certainly one of the more practical AI workshops I have attended.”
“Far more practical than I expected. I work in construction delivery, with no shortage of information: drawings, specifications, programmes, tenders. I came away feeling that, as a company of one, I now have additional team members — able to help me think, organise, research, draft and challenge ideas.”
“It was one of the best deep dives I have had into a topic that gets a lot of buzz. Max taught me not to be scared of AI: understand it, experiment with it, and then let your imagination go wild. Would I recommend it? 100%.”
“Do not start with AI. Start with the business problem. The best AI project is not the one with the most advanced model. It is the one that solves a real business problem.”

Why this works
Structured guidance helps businesses identify more valuable places to use AI. That finding shaped AI Upgrade: instead of teaching isolated tools, the workshop maps AI into your real workflows.
